As an Experience Early Learning Blog Ambassador, we receive the Experience Early Learning preschool curriculum in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. As always, our opinions on amazing things for children are 100% our own. Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best judgement when planning activities for your children.

This month, we're learning about Birds & Eggs with Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time).

We're just about to wrap things up and today we're reflecting on all of the wonderful activities we've done throughout the month.

With each theme, there are a few printables that we know we can look forward to - postcards and portfolios are two of them.

There are so many amazing benefits to our monthly portfolio project.

The preschoolers have the opportunity to think through everything they've learned and to choose some of their favorite projects.

We're practicing communication and fine motor skills as we review what we did during the month and then draw a picture.

Experience Early Learning includes an activity similar to this one for each month's theme.

Throughout the month, we display the children's artwork in our classroom and it's always a huge hit with the preschoolers. They love seeing their projects on display in the preschool room.

The name tags that we do each month are always kept for the children's portfolios. It's such a special thing to see their handwriting progress over the course of an entire school year.

Creating portfolios and displaying artwork are great ways to build confidence and the fact that these preschool curriculum kits place such a strong emphasis on process-based art is perfect for this age group.

Don't forget to join us next month as we start a new theme from Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time).
