As an Experience Early Learning Blog Ambassador, we receive the Experience Early Learning preschool curriculum in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. As always, our opinions on amazing things for children are 100% our own. Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best judgement when planning activities for your children.
This month is all about Bees & Butteflies with Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time). We finished up our Bees & Wasps lessons and moved onto learning about Metamorphosis.
This week, we made our Little Letter Book for the letter Mm and practiced reading with our Bees I Can Read! book.
Each month, we receive lots of wonderful literacy tools that the children can use to practice important early learning skills such as fine motor skills, writing, and alphabetic knowledge.
While working on our Little Letter Book: Mm activity, the preschoolers explored the letter Mm as well as a few different Mm words.
When they're finished cutting and coloring the pictures, they assembled their books to refer back to over and over again.
We also continued our theme of The life cycle of the Butterfly and focused on a caterpillar. We learned many new facts about caterpillars.
For today's new centers, the children had the choice to Color by Letter and play a letter matching game.
Again, we're practicing important early literacy skills in engaging and hands-on ways. Not only that, but the activities that are included in our Teacher Guide from Experience Preschool coordinate perfectly with each month's preschool thematic study.
Don't forget to check back next week to see what we're up to as we wrap up our Bees & Butterflies theme from Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time).
