As an Experience Early Learning Blog Ambassador, we receive the Experience Early Learning preschool curriculum in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. As always, our opinions on amazing things for children are 100% our own. Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best judgement when planning activities for your children.
With each new school year comes lots of new language and literacy tools from Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time) and today I'm excited to share a few of our favorites.
Circle Time Display Materials
For each school year, we use these materials to create a circle time display. You can see the calendar as well as the letters, numbers, colors, and shapes we're learning this week.
We've also been displaying the word wall cards from our Experience Preschool curriculum kits.
This year, the word wall cards have English on one side and Spanish on the other. These are wonderful for the children to explore reading and writing, especially because each word card also includes a picture.
Social-Emotional Learning
Each month, we receive Forest Friends materials, which focus on social-emotional skills. This month, the focus was on kindness with a story about Bunny and Fox.
Along with the book, we receive storytelling pieces, so the children can retell their favorite Forest Friends stories over and over again.
Pre-Reading & Sight Words
Our preschool curriculum kits also include sight word readers and sight word pointers that give the preschoolers lots of practice with early reading skills.
These early readers are always so cute and the children love to flip through them and read the stories in the classroom as well as at home.
These are just a few of the many wonderful language and literacy materials we receive each month. Every box is filled with engaging and hands-on materials our preschool children love!
Don't forget to check back next week to see what we're up to with our Friends & Feelings theme from Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time).
