As an Experience Early Learning Blog Ambassador, we receive the Experience Early Learning preschool curriculum in exchange for sharing our honest and authentic stories resulting from our personal experiences. As always, our opinions on amazing things for children are 100% our own. Keep in mind that all preschoolers do things in their own time and on their own terms. What one is ready for, another might not be. Please use your best judgement when planning activities for your children.
This month, we're learning about Health & Fitness with Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time) and we've had lots of fun this week with topics such as Race & Run, Jump, Kick, Throw & Catch, and Stretch.
Yesterday was kicking. We have explored soccer, football, swimming, and gymnastics kicks.
We talked about the balls that are used in each sport. We spoke about sports that use balls but are not kicked (baseball, ping pong, etc.). We also talked about what NOT to kick!
Our creative art activity for the day was using balls to paint on paper and the children loved it!
Process art is such a wonderful way to practice fine motor skills while giving preschoolers the freedom to explore a variety of materials.
This week with Experience Early Learning, we're also learning the difference Between Q and K and that they sound very similar but really are different letters.
Another favorite topic this week was Throw & Catch. We made adorable "Catch-It Cups" using pompoms, yarn, craft sticks, and of course cups.
Our STEAM stations this week have been lots of fun too. We made ramps, explored rubber bands, and even learned about flying objects.
Don't forget to check back next week to see what we're up to as we continue learning about Health & Fitness with Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time).
